The Destiny of Kord
"City of Steam", "Valdenasa".
Council of Elders, subject to Kordian Crown.
Loviatar (Church), Waukeen (Shrine), Tymora (Shrine). Diverse beliefs amongst the population. Loviataran worship introduced via Kordova. Valda was previously the cult centre of Ullussuth, the Lord of the Roasting Flame.
Conservative Conclave. Ostensibly supporters of Monarchist Intent and Aims. Regularly clashes with the interests of the Council of Innarith and Londas. Desirous of greater Lake of Steam access. Suspicious of Mivasch and the most vocal in terms of placing high trade tariffs on their former adversary.
Armour, Weapons, Fine Carving and 'country' nobles.
Foodstuffs, Raw Metals, Seasoned Timber, Slaves and Luxury Goods.
Official Kordian Law.
Built some two kilometres from what was the centre of Valdenasa's ancient citadel, the people of Valda, despite racial hegemony with Greater Kordia, have always been somewhat of a law unto themselves. The superheated forges that line the Southern Fissure (a volcanic rent that still occasionally oozes magma in its southern facing, deeper regions) provide the smiths of Valda with a superior base from which to produce the finest armour and weaponry in Kordia and indeed much of the south. It is the tireless work of these generational families of craftsmen that have armed the Burning Spear Legion since Valda's annexation into Kordia's growing empire. This concentration of military potential has created a self-satisfied culture amongst the Guild and Noble families of Valda, sneering somewhat at their Kordovan cousins in a manner reminiscent of the City-States of the Thalasian Kingdom.
